Ayappan Pooja Sangam Temple is located on Sathyamoorthy road in Ramnagar in the heart of Coimbatore city. The Ayappan Pooja Sangam temple is dedicated to Lord Ayappan, an incarnation of Dharma Shastha. The temple is built in typical Kerala architecture and follows traditional Kerala rituals. Other than the main sanctum, there are small shrines dedicated to Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva, and the Navagrahas. Being a pilgrimage centre, scores of devotees visit the temple on a daily basis. The best time to visit is during the Mandala Pooja celebrations that begin on the first day of the 'Vrishchikam†month and continues for 41 days (mid-November to mid-January). Ayappan devotees commence their Sabarimala Pilgirimage from this temple. A lot of devotees from the other states visit this temple on their way to Sabarimala. Attached to the temple, there is a hall which is used for functions like marriages, prayer meetings and discourses.
