Gadsar Lake is located 5,000 m above sea level, in the Himalayan Ranges in Ganderbal district .The Gadsar Lake or the Yemsar Lake also called as the lake of flowers is a picturesque, alpine high altitude oligotrophic lake in Ganderbal district of Kashmir valley at an elevation of 3600 metres.This lake is famous as trekking base, which can be reached through the alpine trek. Brown-trout fishing is a popular activity among the tourists visiting this lake.
