Garden of Five Senses is a place to visit in Delhi for fun, irrespective of your age, gender or vocation. This twenty-acre site is located in the Said-Ul-Azaib village and is defined by the many sensory experiences it offers to the visitors. It has spiral walkways, elephants cut out of stone, intricate water baths and many other artistic endeavours which will keep you enthralled throughout your visit.
Located in Said-ul-Ajaib village near Mehrauli, Garden of Five Senses was built by Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTC). The project had cost Rs 10.5 crores and took over three years to be completed. The aim was to provide a place of serenity where people could come to enjoy nature.
The garden has several dedicated areas which portray a variety of artistic endeavours; beginning with the Mughal-styled garden called the Khas Bagh, a secluded food and shopping court with a series of terraces that act as vantage points and seating arrangements. Another section, known as the Neel Bagh, is a pool filled with water lilies which are encircled by pergolas covered in a variety of climbers. The place has plant displays, amphitheatres and much more to keep you entertained throughout your stay.
