ABOUT
Mundanthurai Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the main wildlife destinations at Tuticorin. Mundanthurai Wildlife Sanctuary, included under ‘Project Tiger’, spreads over 567 sq km of forest lands that range from dry, deciduous forests to tropical wet evergreen forests. Mundanthurai Wildlife Sanctuary is home to diverse species of wildlife which includes tigers, lion tailed macaque, Nilgiri langur, bonnet macaque, langur, nilgiri tahr, sambar, sloth bear, flying squirrel, panther, wild dog and pangolin. This sanctuary is also the habitat for various species of reptiles, insects and amphibians.
