ABOUT
Nigeen Lake (alteratively spelled as Nageen Lake) is a mildly eutrophic[1] lake located in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is sometimes considered a part of the Dal lake and is connected to it via a narrow strait.[2] It is also connected to the Khushal Sar and Gil Sar lakes via a channel known as Nallah Amir Khan. The land at the Famous Nigeen lake belonged to Hakim Family of Hakim Mohallah Baghwanpora. Nigeen belonged to the Great Hakim's As Hakim Haider Ali, Hakim Jaffer Ali, Hakim Azim Ali And Hakim Habibullah. Hakim Jaffer Ali was the Grand Father of the Famous Personality Hakim Ghulam Rasool (Master). The Major portion of the Land belonged to the Famous Physician of his time Hakim Akbar Ali and Well-known personality of Baghwanpora Haji Hakim Ghulam Mohammad and his Wife.
