Sri Veeraraghava Perumal Temple is located at Thiru Evvul also called as Thiruvallur, near Chennai, Tamil Nadu and also revered as one of the 108 Divya Desam temples, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This temple has a five-tiered Rajagopuram (monumental tower) and is built in a Dravidian style of architecture. Sri Veeraraghava Perumal temple is believed to be built by the Pallavas (period between the 3rd and 9th centuries CE). It is believed that, Sri Veeraraghava Perumal Temple is in existence form 5000 years and it contains some inscriptions of Pallava dynasty.It is believed that Lord Shiva got rid of His Brahmahathi Dosha after worshipping Lord Vishnu at this temple and there is a separate shrine found for Lord Shiva at this temple. Sri Veeraraghava Perumal temple is under the administration of Ahobila Mutt Jeeyar, a Vadakalai Sri Vaishnava religious institution established 600 years ago at Ahobilam in India. Sri Veeraraghava Perumal temple is revered in Nalayira Divya Prabandham, a great Tamil canon, and the Paasurams (devotional songs) are sang by Thirumangai Azhwar, Thirumalisai Azhwar.
