Arulmigu Uthukuli Murugan Temple, Tiruppur
ABOUT
The Arulmigu Uthukuli Murugan Temple is located at a distance of around 15 km from the city of Tirupur. This temple is dedicated to Lord Murugan and is believed to be about 200 years old. According to a legend, Agastiyar, a famous saint, visited the site for performing penance but was unable to get water. He prayed to Lord Murugan, as a result of which the Lord appeared before him and helped him. The water spring is named as Uthukuli. The major attraction of this temple is the car which is pulled on the slopes by devotees.
