Chandrakhani Pass is located in the Kullu District at a height of 3,660 metres. It forms a way(pass) between the villages of Rumsu and Pulag to the well known village of Malana, which indirectly forms a trekking route from Naggar to Malana across the Chandrakhani Pass. The Parvati valley, with all its beauty, makes for an amazing trek. The Chandrakhani Pass in the area is a popular base for trekking. The valley is narrow with steep mountains rising on both sides. The region is under police surveillance due to high prevalence of drugs and tourists wandering in search of drugs. According to the legend attached to the place, Jamlu, the presiding deity of Malana was carrying the basket of all Gods of Kullu. As he reached the top of the pass, a strong wave of the wind blew away all the Gods and scattered them all over the Kullu Valley. Since then the valley is referred to as the Valley of Gods. The place strewn with picturesque beauty all around along with admiring views of Deo Tibba peak, Pir Panjal and Parbati range of mountains, do all the justice to its name. The trek is also one of the easiest where trekkers can get a glimpse of the remote and hilly cultures of Himachal Pradesh.
