Lord Ramchandra temple is the most important temple of Manikaran Village and a famous temple in Himachal Pradesh. The temple was constructed by Raja Jagat Singh on 17th Century. The image of Ram installed here is believed to have been brought straight from Ayodhya and installed in this temple by the Raja of Kulu but this lacks a historic confirmation. An image of goddess Sita accompanies that of lord Rama in this temple. On the left hand side of the lord is the idol of goddess Sita. There was also an image of Lakshman the younger brother of lord Rama Chandra, which has now disappeared.In the year 1889 the temple was redecorated by Raja Dilip Singh. Though the history of the temple is inscribed in a stone of walls. The temple is very old and on one of the stones in its wall.
