Marari Beach is a perfect location for enjoying with family or friends. The attraction of beach is coconut palm trees and golden sands. The name Marari is shortened from Mararikulam a small and sleepy fisherman's village.The main activities of the beach are sea surfing, boat cruise in backwaters, water skiing, deep sea fishing etc..To make your trip interesting, you may roam around the beach as there are plenty of sightseeing places where you can spend some quality time with your loved ones. If you are there in the month of August, you may also try and enjoy Snake Boat Races
HISTORY
Lord sivan temple is situated in this place. The lord siva is called marari by the locals from that the place is called mararikulam and the beach is known by the name marari beach or mararikulam beach

By the National Geographical survey the marari beach was rated as one of the top five Hammock beach.
CLIMATE
The weather at Marari is warm and humid throughout the year.The rain is at its heavy from June to July, and late October to December.April may months hot and humid the summer temperatures reach 36 degrees Celsius (97 degrees Fahrenheit).
BEST TIME TO VISIT
Late December to March are the best months to visit.

ROAD CONDITION
It is connected by road. NH 66 passes through S.L.Puram, which is 5 km to the east of Mararikulam.just north of Alleppey and around 60 kilometers (37 miles) south of Kochi.
