Pandavan Rock, Alappuzha
ABOUT
Pandavan Rock, one of the popular tourist attractions, has derived its name from the Pandavas of Mahabharata. It is believed that they stayed inside this cave during the time of their exile. Popularly known as the Rock of the Pandavas. It is located at Urukunnu, tourists visiting this cave have to take a walk to the destination, however it is not a hard climb. Along the trails, visitors can enjoy beautiful views from several vantage points, which include views of adjoining hills, forests and the Kallada Dam. The best season to visit this rocky site is September to March. The cave has, of course, changed its appearance to a tiny hillock with the passage of time. It is an ideal picnic spot for a pleasant evening with the family. It takes an easy climb to reach the top of the rock, unless one is old or otherwise abled, getting to the top isn't very challenging.

To reach there, tourists have to trek up a dirt narrow path and crawl through an opening. There is another way to get to this location through the waterways route, The visitors have to take a short walk and climb the rock to reach the final destination.
