The Orang Asli are one of oldest indigenous groups in Malaysia – the Malay term translates to “original people.” Many of them continue to live in villages outside of towns and major urban areas to maintain their simpler lifestyles.The area surrounding the town of Batang Kali is peppered with small clusters of Orang Asli villages, offering visitors a chance to immerse themselves in the stories, traditions and practices of the people living here.
