ACUA (pronounced ‘aqua’) is the acronym for ‘A CUT ABOVE’ (You won’t find that in dictionary!). Great ambience, warm smiles and professional cuts are some of the reasons which made ACUA a cut above the rest. A team of competent stylists and therapists handpicked from various academies across India is working here. The salon & spa are outfitted with state-of-the-art infrastructure, assuring utmost comfort and leisure to the clients. ACUA is the ultimate oasis and a one-stop destination for styling your hair and rejuvenating your skin, body, mind and soul. It is open from 10.30 am to 7.30 pm, 7 days a week. Some people say that our rates are very reasonable and some say that we are very expensive! The fact is, our rates are neither too cheap, nor very expensive. (All our rates are displayed on the page 'Tariff' of this website. Please go through it and decide for yourself!) These days qualified stylists are paid 25000 - 50000 per month! A salon usually has 10-15 stylists. Imagine the total salary! Plus rent, electricity, consumables, etc. add up to several lacs per month! Not just a few lacs but a minimum of 50-60 lacs is invested in most premium salons. A major portion of it is usually taken from banks as business loans. And we have to pay a huge amount as EMI every month. Most of the equipment get bad every now and then and we have to buy them again and again. Interiors get bad and we have to redo it every couple of years. Rent, salaries, etc. go up by around 10% every year, which add up to around 50-60 thousand additional expense per month. (That’s one reason why we revise our rates every year). Considering all these facts, we must say that our rates are very nominal! Some people compare our rates with those of local barber shops. Our expenditure and investment are about 10 times more than that of a local barber shop but still we charge just about 2-3 times more than them. If we keep our rates lower, we can surely get more customers but we won’t be able to maintain high standards of hygiene and quality of service. We've experienced that during our initial days when we used to charge just 99 for a haircut! Now we prefer doing 25 haircuts @200 instead of 100 haircuts @100. Less money but more peace of mind. Less quantity but more quality.
