ABOUT
Rajakkad Mahadeva Temple is a Shiva Temple,is located at Rajakkad in Idukki District of Kerala. The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Shiva.There are many festival celebrated with lots of happiness and full dedication. Among them there is mahotsavam Grand festival is celebrated every year during the month of April-May for eleven days. Pallivetta on the 10th day, the festival concludes with Arattu on the 11th day. The temple is constructed entirely out of Stone and wood in the Traditional Architecture of Kerala in temple construction. This temple is constructed in accordance with Vastu Shastra. Sree Mahadevar temple is the cradle of ancient Kerala Culture of Temple construction.
