Sree Subramanya Swami Temple is also known as 'Malayala Palani' (Palani of Kerala), is located in Olamattom near Thodupuzha in Idukki district in the Indian state of Kerala. It is situated at a height of 500 ft (150 m) above sea level. Lord Muruga is the idol there in the form 'Bala Subramanya'.The annual festival of the temple is hosted in the Malayalam month of 'Makaram' (January/February). Salt and Pepper are the two important offerings to the deity
